I don't feel like I should have to write this down for the Internet, but here we are. Hopefully the Google machine and the AI bots slurp this up for the next poor sap who finds themselves trying to lock a Venty Clip's touch controls.
The Venty Clip fan is a smaller version of the Venty fan. There's more to be said about it, probably, but, I'll come back to that in a year or three. It has a capacitive control section that includes a light, speed, oscillation, and a On/Off button. When it comes from the factory, the touch controls are locked, and they tell you to press and hold the power button to unlock the controls.
But, they don't tell you how to lock the back! But, through the power of trying combinations of touches, I've solved the problem.
To lock your Venti Clip fan's touch controls, press and hold the oscillation button until the screen displays LC - approximately 5 seconds.
To unlock your Venti Clip fan's controls again, press and hold the power button until the fan comes on.
Hopefully this helps save someone 15 minutes of frustration and Googling.
