Comcast repents

As a followup on the DVR saga, Comcast called three times today to come by and service my cable television. Guess the guy from yesterday “forgot” to cancel the second service call.

I called and lectured a supervisor about the idiotic string of failures. I spoke with a lady who was a million years old and has been smoking for 999,999 of those years. She didn’t care what I was saying, but “in the interests of customer satisfaction” issued a $50 credit for the problems. Friday I get to waste another hour of my life to go fetch the right remote.

I found a posting on the AVS forums that let me reprogram the totally useless “TV/VCR” button on the remote to the Swap tuners button. Hooray.
